International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS) announces the opening of its 28th juried exhibition at the Salmagundi Club of New York City on Monday, June 6, 2016.
IAPS serves as the umbrella organization for all pastel societies and their members from around the world. As a result, this show features the work of many of the best pastel artists working in the medium today. Only 140 amazing pieces of work will be selected from over 1000 entries received.
The show opens on Monday, June 6, and runs through Friday, June 17.

The Salmagundi Club, founded in 1871, is one of the oldest art organizations in the United States. The Club owns a collection of over 1500 works of art spanning its 140-year history and has a membership of over 900 artists and patrons. Recently the Main Gallery at the Club was renovated and is now one of the finest traditional exhibition spaces in the City. Jurors for the show include Anne Hevener, Editor of the Pastel Journal, Chris Ivers, Artist and Instructor, and Richard McKinley. Jimmy Wright, President of the Pastel Society of America, is the Judge of Awards.
This show is a must-see experience where the best of the best in pastel art today will be displayed in the spectacular setting of the Salmagundi Club in New York City.
