Round Rock Arts (RRA), whose purpose is to encourage, support and enhance current and new Arts and Cultural activities, is now accepting two-dimensional (2D) and small three-dimensional (3D) artwork submissions for the 2019 Exhibit Interlude. An interlude can be far more than a pause in a dramatic or musical performance. It is a brief intervening period between two things. It can be a space, a smirk on your face, an instant, a crying infant, an interruption, an massive eruption, an intermission, a rock’n roll musician, a gap, an afternoon nap… We invite artists to show us their vision.

Interlude will be a juried and judged art exhibit. Round Rock Arts will offer cash prizes for Best of Show, First Place, Second Place and two Honorable Mentions. There will be an opening “Mocktail” reception on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.  It will be family friendly reception with art demos and entertainment, a fun interlude between the long winter nights and bright spring days.

The art exhibit will be at the J.B. and Hallie Jester Annex of the Williamson County Courthouse, located at 1801 E. Old Settler’s Blvd, Round Rock, Texas.  The Jester Annex has hosted art exhibits in it’s tall and wide halls for more than five years.  It is a busy, high traffic public building with many visitors from throughout the county and city of Round Rock.

Depictions of Kentucky and Indiana

  • St. David's Georgetown Hospital (map)

“Depictions of Kentucky and Indiana” is a show exclusively featuring the artwork of Jan Frazier, at St. David's Hospital in Georgetown, Texas.

This body of work features images of her home state Kentucky, and neighboring state Indiana. Most were painted plein-air and depict different seasons, weather, and times of day.  Through these paintings we are able to explore a beautiful part of Southeastern America, and are given the opportunity to see an entire world through the eyes of the artist.

Because the hospital is open 24/7 you can view this show at anytime in between June 3rd and July 1st.
